Guglielmo Alfarone's first Solo show graces the wall of the Maverick Showroom on Shoreditch this week. Twenty canvases will take you out of te bustling street and into the worlds of lost youthful faces, detached and void of vibrant expression but all united by disconnection. Alfarone concentrates on the moment, purposefully neglecting the future. Also drawing on his own life, Alfarone's show is a stark take on what may emerge from a mental void.
Expect to be emotionally blown away by a talent who started out when he was just seventeen.

 Alfarone has beautifully distinct style, the exhibition consisted of these huge portraits of adolescents, all done in black and white. Every one of these huge canvases tells a story, with each subject engaged only with their own, making them seem present, yet detached. Each piece somehow seems elegant, yet sporadic, the energy in them is not something that can be captured by an image of these artworks but something that comes with the presence of such engulfing pieces.
A hugely revered artist, he exhibits nationally, especially if you can catch him doing one of his 'live paintings' then you're able to really see the energy that goes into such work.

Si inaugura il 1° giugno la prima personale di Guglielmo Alfarone a Londra, evento in partneship con l'Istituto di Cultura Italiano.
Giovane artista italiano diplomato all'Accademia di Venezia, dopo essersi esibito con una performance al Guggenheim Museo ed aver preso parte a diverse Biennali d'Arte di Venezia, Guglielmo Alfarone si trasferisce a Londra.
Il suo lavoro fa gia' parte di importanti collezioni pubbliche e private ed ha ricevuto premi Nazionali ed Internazionali.
